DOWNLOADING DIGITAL AUDIO

There are many ways for you to enjoy the digital audio that you purchase at Christianaudio. We’ll go over some of the basics here. First make sure that you know what is legal (What are my rights?) so that you can enjoy your digital audio with a clear conscience. Now, let’s get started.

Downloading

Downloading digital audio at Christianaudio is not too hard. Unfortunately for many of us, anything to do with technology is hard enough to cause some problems from time-to-time. Here are some things to keep in mind when you are downloading your digital audio.

At Christianaudio you can download most digital audio in either WMA format or MP3 format. WMA audio is optimized for Windows. MP3 works well on other operating systems.

Please note that some of our digital audio is not available in MP3 format. You can always determine what digital formats are available before you make your purchase.

In addition to choosing the format of your digital audio, Christianaudio allows you to choose whether to download uncompressed or compressed files. If you choose to download the compressed version, you will need a software utility such as WinZip or StuffIt to uncompress your files once they are on your computer. You can search Google to find these or other utilities to uncompress files. Please note that the audio quality of the compressed files is exactly the same as the uncompressed files.

When downloading your digital audio, make sure that you single click the Download button of the file you wish to download. Do not use the Refresh button or Back button of your browser while you are downloading, as this will use up one of your downloads. Christianaudio gives you two initial downloads. Please realize, however, that it only takes one download to download an audio book, even if the audio book consists of multiple files. Feel free to contact us at support@christianaudio.com if you have trouble.

If you ordered a digital download and did not complete the download at the time of your purchase, you can use your login information to sign into the My Account section of Christianaudio. From the My Account section you can return to your recent order and finish your download.

Burn an audio CD or MP3CD

You can listen to your digital audio directly on your computer. Or, if you want, you can burn your digital audio onto an audio CD or MP3CD.

Christianaudio masters our digital audio files so that each digital audio file will fit on one audio CD. So, for example, if you purchase an audio book that consists of four digital audio files, you will be able to burn that audio book onto four audio CDs. But how?

It is very likely that the audio player on your computer can burn audio CDs for you. Of course you will need to have a CD writer installed on your computer and you will need the correct CD media. Look at the Help file of the audio player on your computer to learn more about burning audio CDs. If that does not work, email us at support@christianaudio.com and we’ll be glad to help you.

Also, it is very likely that the audio player on your computer can burn MP3CDs for you. Of course in order to listen to your MP3CD you will need to have a portable MP3CD player or an MP3CD compatible player in your home or car stereo. If you have a home entertainment system, it is very likely that you can play MP3CDs on your DVD player!
